To Rime and To Rhyme

This post is a tribute to my high school BM teacher who decided to pursue his passion and self-published his poems. Although none of my poems actually rhymes (too much of a trouble IMHO hehe :P), but I'm inspired, somewhat, by his poems. There are several that I really like so I thought I would post a few here as a promotion for him. If you like what you've read, go check him out here. His poems are not expensive and some of the money you spent on the book will go to charity. :)

Here goes! This is one of the poems that I really like. It's from his first published booklet entitled *the title of this blog post*.

Time is the Healer

At one time or another,
Life may be a bit bitter.
The troubles we encounter,
The loss and pain we suffer.
Yet should we cry or ponder
To search for an answer?
Happy it is to discover
Whatever problems and disasters
We face are later over.
'Cos fleeting time works wonders
To heal our wounds altogether.

Real Beauty is Forever

Good looks are not all that matter
If you pause for awhile to ponder.
Instead of looking at the mirror
With an ugly face to glower,
Cultivate good-heartedness with one another
How precious it is than gold and silver!
Have enough determination to gather,
Boundless strength of moral character.
Always be wise and also be clever
To behave in a rather pleasant manner.
Such are the qualities to go after
For an inward charm to glitter.

I also like his Perplexing Past Tense and Love Conquers Hate poems (as well as several others) but well, enough spoilers hehe :P

Again, go support him by buying his poem anthologies here if you like what you've read. :)
